Staff

Mrs Matthews is the Head Teacher. She joined our school in January 2006 and is working well with staff and governors to further develop and improve our school. Already a new Montessori pre-school has opened on site and improvements to our wonderful out door play and sports facilities have been made.

 

All classes at Stebbing utilise The Mantle of The Expert approach to learning along with Montessori mathematics equipment. In addition, all pupils learn French and older children also learn keyboard skills to support their IT & literacy work.

 

This accademic year we have managed to maintain all class sizes to around 20, which is why you will find some teachers have more than one year group in their class as described below.

Mrs Wallace teaches year groups 2 & 3 in class room 3 and is Deputy Headteacher. She is responsible for ICT, Assessment, P.E., and Healthy Schools Initiative.

 

Mrs Wallace leads our netball team.

Miss Mawson teaches our reception children in class 1 - part of our Early Years Unit. She is developing the love of life long learning with our 4 and 5 year olds through the use of Montessori teaching techniques.

 

Miss Mawson leads our Sports Multiskills after school club.

Mrs Chamberlain teaches in class room 2 - part of our Early Years Unit - with Mrs Taylor. Ensuring year 1 are continuing to enjoy learining through a combination of Montessori and traditional teaching methods. She teaches the latter half of the week.

Mrs Taylor teaches class 2 during the first half of the week - other detail as above. Mrs Taylor runs our Tag Rugby Club, Cross Country Running Club & Cricket Team.
